COMMENTS ON ORDERING:
1.   Cutters are used to cut the inserts for the checkers.  There are two models, one model
is made to be used with a mallet, the other model is to be used in a special arbor press.
The arbor press is strongly recommended.  The arbor press is also used with the key
chain and the chessmen.  One arbor press per lab is usually enough.

2.  The cutting edges last a lot longer when using the arbor press.

3.    If you have visited a school where they make the checkers you may have seen a
rotary tumbler.  Vibratory tumblers now come with he unit.  The change was made
for several reasons, primarily to dramatically lower the tooling price.  The new unit
is easier for the students to use.  The capacity is less, but the teacher who did the
field testing did not see that as being a problem.

NOTE:  Cherry cuts and finishes better than the walnut and over time, it will turn dark.  The
problem is, until it has been exposed to light for a long period of time it is light in color
and some students may have trouble telling the difference between maple and cherry.
